Kygo nominated for Billboard Music Award

You may remember that you could vote for Kygo's Cloud Nine album as the best Dance/Electronic Album of 2016 in a Billboard Poll before Christmas.

Kygo stood out with 51% of the votes and Cloud Nine has now been further nominated to Top Dance/Electronic Album at the 2017 Billboard Music Awards. Contrary to the Academy voting for the Grammys, the Billboard Music Awards nominations are based on stats from music sales, streaming, air play, social engagement and interactions with fans. The ceremony takes place on Sunday May 21 in Las Vegas, and will be aired on ABC tv.

Other artists nominated in this category are The Chainsmokers, Flume and Lindsay Stirling. Click here to see the full list of nominees, of which Kygo is the sole Norwegian name.
