Kygo returns to the tropics for his 25th birthday

He is known for his Norwegian background, but here is a fun fact that might explain his tropical house influence. Kygo was actually born in the tropics in Singapore. Playing his maiden show in Singapore on September 11. was therefore very special. Even more so considering it was his 25th birthday.

"Singapore was where I was born, so it's a very special place for me and I'm excited to go back," Kygo said in an interview with the Singaporean newspaper Strait Times before his performance at Ultra Singapore.

At an already perfect weekend Kygo was in for a heartwarming birthday gift he never saw coming. His manager Myles had arranged to fly out eight of Kygo’s best Norwegian friends to Singapore to surprise him in his hotel room.

Check out the emotional reveal below, along with a recap of the festivities!
